Quality and Excellence

Wynne Sedans & Motorcoaches (Wynne) was founded by the legendary Wynne family of Texas, a family steeped in Texas traditions and entrepreneurial spirit. The Wynne family started one of the largest independent/international Oil and Gas exploration firms in the US and one of the ten (10) largest Law firms in the state of Texas.

For over seventy-five years, the Wynne family has extended their name, entrepreneurial spirit and keen business acumen into the entertainment and personal hospitality industries where it has become synonymous with quality and excellence. They built the ‘Texas Pavilion’ at the New York World’s Fair, the Le Meridian Hotel in Dallas as well as the Bangkok and Malta Hilton Hotels. They also designed what is now the Dallas Hilton Anatole Hotel, started the ‘Six Flags Over Texas’ theme parks and were original founders and partners with Clint Murchison in the NFL Dallas Cowboys football franchise.

It is from these roots that Wynne was born in the winter of 1986 as a specialty vehicle lease management company serving the ground transportation industry. During this part of Wynne’s history it derived the majority of its revenues from limousine leasing contracts with locally DFW based airport sedan and limousine companies. In March 2008 Wynne acquired Priority One Motor Coaches and its fleet of late model Van Hool motor coaches.

Priority One Motor Coaches had been in the chartered coach industry since 1995 concentrating on the high school and collegiate, special corporate events, and sports events industries.

During Wynne’s decades of operation, it has enjoyed annually increasing revenues and growth.

I graduated college in 2001 and found the job market was not exactly thriving, so I went to work in the family business, thinking it would be until I found something better.

That was 15 years ago and we are still going strong.

In those 15 years, I had a vision and built our meeting and event business with the purchase of multiple SUV’s, vans, Sprinters, VanTerras and mini-buses. In 2008, we purchased a small motor coach firm with 6 buses.

We just took possession of our 30th motorcoach and named 2016 Motorcoach Operator of the Year by LCT Magazine! So, I never needed to find something better. It was in my backyard the whole time.

I assume it is just like any other job – some days you love it and other days you want to throw your desk out the window. I have always been a boy at heart and I think that is why the larger equipment has always been interesting to me. I love watching those big buses roll in and out of the yard and always will.

For me, it’s especially exciting. I’ve grown up in the business and now, to borrow a phrase from Tom Petty, I’m “runnin’ down a dream!”
